If we want to get all "statto" on it, Repka had 5 red cards in 87 appearances for Fiorentina (making it a red card every 17 games) and 4 reds in 84 appearances (a red every 21 games) for Sparta Prague the first time round. However, it all comes down to the position he was played in during his time in Italy, he generally was played as a centre-back enforcer. His job (if my memories of Football Italia on Channel 4 serve me correctly) was to defend "by any means necessary".

Ian Bishop on the other hand, was perhaps a little undeserved in my comments. He had a few minor scrapes and other "issues" at Man City but was certainly no Morrison/Di Canio or Repka.

I hope Morrison really can go on and be the player his initial games promised, however his lack of recent game time means it might be a month or so until he's up to full fitness.

I hope you're right and that he goes on to become the player that most fans hope he can - would be good for the country too.

Just on the comments on Ian Bishop and Tomas Repka, I wasn't aware of their troubles before West Ham signed them?
