However, it all comes down to the position he was played in during his time in Italy, he generally was played as a centre-back enforcer. His job (if my memories of Football Italia on Channel 4 serve me correctly) was to defend “by any means necessary”.

Ian Bishop on the other hand, was perhaps a little undeserved in my comments. He had a few minor scrapes and other “issues” at Man City but was certainly no Morrison/Di Canio or Repka.

I hope Morrison really can go on and be the player his initial games promised, however his lack of recent game time means it might be a month or so until he’s up to full fitness.
