Fail: Bologna leave new signing Ibson at the airport

Football clubs usually welcome a new signing with open arms but Bologna have suspended four staff members who left their latest recruit at the airport by himself on Monday.

The 30-year-old Brazilian was left with no welcoming party in Rome after his recent switch from Corinthians.

Technical officer Adrian Polenta, administrative manager Lucas Befani, communications director Carlo Caliceti, and marketing executive Andrea Battacchi have been stood down by owner Albano Guaraldi pending a full investigation.

Bologna are 17th in Serie A, and can do with all the help they can get if they are to pull away from a relegation zone that they currently sit just one point outside.
