I used to find every Champions League night as exciting as the next, now it’s barely worth watching until the quarter finals due to quality opponents being filtered into the Europa League in favour of lesser teams from smaller nations. These tournaments should be reserved for the elite, what has made the Euro’s so exciting is that no-one is there to make up the numbers.
