There is an extreme focus on racism and alot of it is being driven by the media. For sure there is a tolerance of racism at matches in Eastern Europe, however from how UEFA and the officials are handling them when they’ve broken out this time, it could be a good step forward.

You´re quite right that racism exists in every country. The problem is that racism at football stadiums in most other countries is performed by a minority of the supporters, while my impression after attending a couple of Polish Ekstraliga matches, is that the entire supporter crowd is joining the racism. One example is from the match between Lechia Gdansk and Slask Wroclaw in April. Every time Lechia´s Traore touched the ball his own supporters made monkey sounds, and there was also thrown bananas at the pitch! So you can try to defend it, but it is still disgusting!
