Borussia Dortmund are famous for their creative displays on match day, and this time they have put their talents to use to launch their 2013/14 home shirt.
80,645 yellow flowers symbolising the average home attendance of BVB were planted close to Westfalen Park, covering a huge area of a thousand square metres in the shape of the new kit.
The new shirt, which is designed by Puma in the classic club colours of yellow and black, features a subtle plaid print on the front.
The collar of the shirt is a mix of a v-neck and classical round shape, and there are two black stripes on the sides of the body.
“The design and the comfort of the new shirt absolutely meet my expectations and I especially like the new collar,” said Marco Reus.
“Black and yellow are the traditional colours of the club and the whole region of Dortmund. I hope with this new shirt we can once again play a successful season.”The new BVB shirt is made of high quality polyester and offers excellent moisture management.
The away and third shirts can be seen alongside the home one above and will be available for purchase from July 6th.
