Don’t adjust your screens – white Copa Mundials!

by Back Page Football

White Copa MundialsRight, let’s get one thing out of the way first – the Adidas Copa Mundial is the finest football boot of all time. It’s simple, reliable, and doesn’t make you look like you deserve a good kicking.

With that in mind, we were a bit skeptical about the new white version that Adidas have released for a limited time only, available from Pro-Direct.

Originally released in 1982, there have been minimal changes made to the Copa Mundial since so to go all out and launch a white version is quite significant.

Would Franz Beckenbauer, Michel Platini or Zico have worn a pair of these in their heyday?

What do you think? Do they look good or have Adidas just ruined a classic?

  1. I agree 100% that it is the best boot ever – like playing ball in slippers and would not be a coloured boots man at all but these retain all of the upsides and still stay classy so yes, I would wear them in white. I could alos happily wear the top of the range white Preds LZ currently on the market in White or a solid colour… then I am 47!!
