Goal of the Week: Dinei v Fluminense

by Kevin Coleman

There was a fantastic array of fine goals to choose from in the world of football this week, in what has turned out to be a week of endless goals and huge scorelines.

This week’s choice is Dinei, and his rasping strike for Palmeiras (the club currently managed by Luiz Felipe Scolari) against Fluminense in the Campeonato Brasileiro da Série A.

Lucky we didn’t have the same goal there!

I had seen yours previously in fact, but no copying was intended. I’ll try change it up in future.

In fairness Tom I doubt you were the first to come up with the idea of Goal of the Week.

Yep, fair point. It was the ‘honourable mentions’ reference that raised my suspicions, but I see you’ve changed things around a bit now. Keep up the good work on the site anyway chaps. Enjoyed your OM-OL preview.

You too, Tom. Lovely writing on your blog, and fantastic coverage of the Ligue 1. I’m a fan of the league but with the complete lack of coverage on British TV it makes it difficult to see the action.
