Good read and agree about the lack of playing time. Just have a feeling re Keane and Given lack of time won’t matter. Keane seems a naturally fit player and with the injuries at Spurs has a chance to show (again) what he can do. McGeady moving anywhere is a bonus for me. He had too much of a week-in, week-out show up and play attitude at Celtic. Might develop his game a bit abroad. Not a bad group and I think we should be aiming high this time, England Bs or not.

The last few hours were not as crazy as one could have expected. I’m a bit sceptical regarding Konchesky, but I haven’t seen him play that much. Mostly a defensive left-back, right?

The Gyan Asamoah move had been in the air for a few weeks in France. I think the Black Cats may have paid too much for him, but he’s right out of a good World Cup but it makes sense. He is fast and quite good with the ball, but he lacks consistency and his finishing is rather uncertain. I’m curious to see how he’ll perform in the PL.

Birmingham made a couple of smart acquisitions. Beausejour was interesting at the WC and deserves a shot in England.
