Burkina Faso, Cape Verde and Panama amongst those ahead of Ireland in the world rankings

An unofficial update of the FIFA World Rankings have been released and they make for interesting reading.

Spain remain top, while France sit worryingly in the mid twenties. Colombia are staying strong in the top ten, as are Belgium and Uruguay.

But, check out some of the nations ahead of Ireland, who don’t even make the top fifty. The Republic may be the lowest they’ve been since 1998.
