Brazil and Ghana to meet in U20 finale

Brazil and Ghana will do battle in the final of the Under 20 World Cup in Egypt after overcoming Hungary and Costa Rica in their respective semi finals.

A second half goal from Alan Kardec was enough for four-time tournament winners Brazil to see off Costa Rica 1-0 on Tuesday.

The South Americans were faced with a dtermined five-man defence, and found it difficult to break down until striker Kardec broke the deadlock.

Ghana, meanwhile, sealed a place in their third final with a hard fought 3-2 win against Hungary.

The Black Satellites took a 2-0 lead thanks to a brace from Dominic Adiyiah before the Hungarians pulled one back.

A strike from Abeiku Quansah restored the two goal cushion but they conceded again to make it 3-2.

Ghana held on though despite a few nervy moments late in the game and will now contest what is a repeat of the 1993 final in Cairo on Saturday.
