City will go there looking for the win one day, but as the media have pointed out all season, first we need to:

a) end the training ground fights
b) get some team spirit
c) stop signing mercenaries
d) buy a 'great' player instead of a 'good' one

As all the pundits are saying, this is why we won't challenge for title, yet the same pundits think we should be going to Arsenal and winning?

So are we contenders or not?????????

If City win the title with this type of play. No big deal.

50 years from now its a statistic, no one bloody remembers if a team played a few 0-0 draws.

A good assessment of the game & the Clubs development .
A great defensive display by City. You deserved a point but I have to say that of all of the teams that come to the Emirates looking for a draw (which is most of them)City's performance last night was by far the least creative & most disappointing that I've ever seen...which is why we booed City off at the end. With such quality players on display we were expecting so much more. No Gooner there last night would have been surprised if City had won,
what's so shocking is that we had more belief in your team than your manager did.

The mentality that has to change is a "pretty" loss is better than an "ugly" draw. As a City supporter I am enjoying being near the top of the table. Maybe Arsenal, or United, or Chelsea, or Liverpool fans don't remember what it's like to be mid-table fighting relegation, all the while playing attacking, pretty football, but trust me, I'll take "Boring, Boring City" any day of the week.

West Brom also went there with nothing to lose except face. City had an objective. That was the make sure that come what may, they stayed above Arsenal by the close of the night.

Mission Accomplished. Guess who the happier manager was?

Agree with your assessment that a defensive point is better than an attacking loss but the fact remains that having spent such an amount of money City should be capable of showing the same ambition as other teams when visiting the Emirates. West Brom scored 3 there not that long ago and came home with 3 points.

No one can deny any longer that City are becoming the threat their spending power justifies but it takes many things to win silverware - Ambition is one of them. United and Chelsea go to the Emirates expecting to win while City go expecting to lose based on last night's formation and set-up. That mentality has to change if City are to push on.
