Bojan Krkic joins Stoke City on a four-year deal

by Up Front

After eight years at Barcelona and a number of loan spells, Bojan Krkic has joined Premier League side Stoke City for the next four years.

The Potters are believed to have paid around £3 million for the services of the 23-year-old who drew strong comparisons to Lionel Messi after being a prolific scorer at underage level for Barca.

However, injuries stunted his development and the Spanish international’s stock fell dramatically so a clean break in a new country could be just what is needed.

Anyone who knows European football will be aware of him as a player and the fact that he sees his future at Stoke City is really exciting and an endorsement of the club itself. He’s desperate to prove himself in the Premier League and we’re pleased to be able to offer him that platform.

– Stoke boss Mark Hughes
