Bet Advisor: Toon too strong for Tigers

Toon too strong for Tigers

Newcastle have had a nice start to the season and I expect them to continue that form against Hull. Despite making the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the summer, Pardew’s men have performed with credit and have notched two wins in their last two matches, including a 2-1 away victory over an improved Aston Villa side.

Hull look to be still finding their feet in the Premier League and they will be disappointed not to have taken three points at home to fellow newcomers Cardiff last weekend. A trip to a buzzing St James’ Park is difficult for any side and I think it could well come too soon for Steve Bruce’s inexperienced side.

Bet Selection: Newcastle to beat Hull at 5/6.

Struggling duo to share spoils

West Brom welcome fellow struggler’s Sunderland to the Hawthorns for an early season bottom of the table clash. Both teams have been struggling to score goals and this is reflected in the betting market with under three goals trading at odds as short as 7/10.  The Baggies have managed just one goal in four games and while their opponents have managed three, they have also leaked eight and so tightening up the defence will be a priority for them.

I believe the value lies in backing the draw here at a nice price. With goals probably at a premium, it is likely that the two will cancel each other out. The 1-1 draw is available at 13/2 and might be an attractive option to some.

Bet Selection: West Brom &  Sunderland to draw at 5/2.
