Bent set for Sunderland move

Darren Bent has travelled to Sunderland to undergo a medical ahead of a proposed move from Spurs, thought to be in the region of £15 million.

The 25 year old England international has endured a difficult spell at White Hart Lane and will be looking to recapture the kind of goal scoring form that earned him such high praise at Charlton.

Bent made headlines recently when he posted on the Twitter accusing chairman Daniel Levy of purposely disrupting the move.

Spurs’ recent capture of Peter Crouch from Portsmouth has increased competition for places in the forward line with Robbie Keane and Jermaine Defoe linking up well on the recent tour of Asia.
