Bart: The majority of Israelis are from Arab countries. Jews in excess of a million were kicked out of their Arab countries. The guy who pretty much founded the Republic of Iraq was a Jew named Sassoon. Look him up.

But the article indicates that the fans are Muslims (based in Israel). Israeli’s don’t have roots in Arab countries do they?! Oh, and Forza Juve!!

‘Most Beitar Jerusalem supporters have roots in Arab Muslim countries’ so why does the presence of 2 x Chechen Muslims cause such as offence to the hardcore fans? I don’t get it and unless I am mistaken, the article does not explain….

A very well-written article and an interesting read. For somebody who doesn’t know too much about Israeli football, your piece is also very insightful.
Hopefully, as you suggested, football will be a springboard to promote peace in Israel.
