Well, I think you are correct. Barcelona could be one of the finest teams. Players have different forte when it comes to their play and that's what makes them so popular.

The writer has forgotten Ac Milan of Arrigo Sacchi , the fantastic team with Baresi, Maldini, Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard etc.
Another great Italian team was juventus of Del Piero and Zinedine Zidane, unfortunely they won only champion's league but they came in the finals three times consecutively.
Barcelona is perhaps better than that Juventus but Ac Milan was greater.

I've not seen a better side in my life time.

Barcelona just seem to have the perfect balance. Gone are the days where football is about having a bone crunching ball winner in the middle of the park with a big lump and a whippet up top.

This current Barcelona side just have a great mix of pace, techincal ability and players with the invention to create something out of nothing.

Not only that, they work the ball so well both in possession and chasing possession. Every Barca player hunts the ball down and give their opposition little time to use the ball effectively.

On the ball, the likes of Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets can keep possession for long periods which must be knackering for opposing teams.

It's rare that one club possesses three of the best players in the World at any one time, but Barcelona have exactly that in Messi, Xavi and Iniesta.

Throw in arguably the most clincal striker in the World in David Villa, the most talented young prospects in Pedro, Bojan and Sergio Busquets and with the solid defensive partnership of Puyol and Pique, it is no wonder that this Barcelona side creative so much positive energy.

Like a snake, they practically suffocate teams by holding possession for long periods and they swallow teams whole in attack, usually in the form of an intricate passage of play involving Lionel Messi, David Villa and a pin point Xavi pass via Iniesta.
