Good article, comprehensive and unbiased.
Refreshing as a Chelsea fan to read an article that isn't pure vitriol, mainly, I suppose because it's not associated with mainstream media (particularly News International).

Re: Sturridge in the CF, I feel that he wouldn't be as effective in this position and that he should resign himself to playing RW (he still gets goals!). Part of the reason he has been so effective this season is his ghosting runs in from the right allowing him to remain untracked by the CBs, combined with the luxury of being a winger in that he is often left in one-on-one situations with the left back. Compare to the CF who has to compete with two CBs and generally has his back to goal (particularly at Chelsea where a lack of creative guile leaves FT consitstently marked out of the game by even the most lowly of defensive opposition), this gives DS an advantage as it allows him to use his pace and trickery to run into unmarked space out wide...

Your bio says you're an aspiring journalist so in terms of the writing style: there are a couple of sentences that need cutting down; the second paragraph regarding Henry VIII is superfluous and largely irrelevant; and the the parentheses in the third paragraph are ludicrously long.
Apart from that, good job.
