The Liverpool attacker who recently completed a loan switch to Sevilla has spoke out about the treatment of his former teammate Luis Suarez.
Aspas told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope that he can understand the ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini, but thinks the worldwide football ban that involves training, charity functions and even being unveiled a Barcelona player extremely excessive.
“They are treating Luis like a murderer and not like a footballer. There are murderers who pay less. Not to let him be presented, to train or to enter the stadium is too much.”
Each player is on the opposite side of the spectrum when it comes to club fandom at Anfield, with Suarez leaving a club legend despite his biting antics and Aspas leaving where his most remembered contribution was a misplaced corner.
