Arsenal to swap Thomas Vermaelen for Tom Cleverley?

by Up Front

The strange transfer story of the day is Arsenal are looking to tie Tom Cleverley into Manchester United’s move for Thomas Vermaelen. The Belgian defender has been linked with a move to Old Trafford the last few days and with only one year left on his Arsenal contract, is likely to move on from the Emirates.

Now it appears Arsene Wenger is willing to play ball if much-maligned midfielder Tom Cleverley is sent in the opposite direction. Is this Wenger’s grand plan, leave Cesc Fabregas join Chelsea and turn Tom Cleverley into a good centre midfielder?

If this is true then money making and saving Mr Wenger, does not need to worry about arranging Cleverly’s cab fare. I am willing to carry and drop Tom to Manchester station on my back!

No, don’t want Cleverley, he’s crap. Why sign another midfielder who is nowhere as good as what we have. Come on Wenger, you must do better than this!

  3. We should move for him ,he is a better player, and he we be among the best in the future.
