After failing to sign Brazilian midfielder Gustavo in the summer, Arsenal are reported to be back in the hunt for the 26-year-old this January.
It was said the player opted for a surprise switch to Wolfsburg in order to guarantee first team football in a crucial World Cup season, but may be open to a move once a club triggers his buy-out clause during the January transfer window. It is believed Barcelona are also interested in the player.
Gustavo told Globo Esporte:
“It’s always good to have your name linked to Barcelona.
“This is the third time there has been interest from them.
“I have a long contract which includes a buyout fee, and if anyone wants to pay that, they can sign me.
The Daily Express reports Tottenham may challenge their North London rivals to his signature.
