Good points mate, think eto'o will make a massive difference at Inter.
But it make you wonder where the money goes what clubs like Roma are broke, it's not as if Italian football has always been corrupt or anything.

Great article. The money might be there and there was just an English style takeover of Bari but most clubs seem unwilling to spend more than they get in the transfer market. The obvious exceptions this year are Napoli and Juve but Juve must still have change from the Calciopolli exodus while Napoli haven't exactly broke the bank and have massive assets with alot of suitors if the shit hits the fan.

Inter have pretty muched balanced the books from the Genoa signings to the Barca money. Milan have spent a pittance of the Kaka money. Genoa have made a profit as have Fiorentina, Udinese, Atalanta and Roma (although they are broke). You compare this to virtually every English team who through money at any player they can find. Hull for example can't sell anyone and want to sign anybody.

The quality of the league is nowhere near as bad as those who don't watch it suggest though. The top 2 of Spain and top 4 in England are far better but if you look down the league the quality is so much more consistent than in England anyway. Teams like Udinese, Lazio, Genoa, Palermo, Napoli, Sampdoria and even the likes of Catania and Siena would flourish in the Premiership. As Jose said, the difference between the two leagues is that there are no easy matches in Serie A
