I couldn’t agree more.
Although I cant help but feel betrayed by our very own captain, with whom Wenger was so patient during his injury spells. And honestly, I accepted a little more dedication and loyalty from him. If he goes, he goes. I can’t deny that, no one can. It won’t change the love I have for Arsenal, but it will change the affection and respect I have for Van Persie. But if it is the board that is to be blamed for our trophy drought and important players leaving, then our (I assume you’re an Arsenal fan too) club needs a change.

But referring to you again, this is what I love about Arsenal, we surprise people, do the unexpected and have a one hell of a season despite the odds. We fall, but we always manage to rise above.

Good stuff –– I was a bit surprised by RVP’s decision to leave as well, not so much for the usual “Arsenal reasons” the lack of hardware and what have you. But by the way he kinda bitch-slapped Wenger, the whole press release felt childish to me.

I would’ve respected his decision to leave if he had said nothing more than “I’m gone!” but to put all that stuff about glory days and different agendas? What was that about? Silly.

The one thing I agree with RVP since he really can’t be painted into a pantomime villain after all the years he’s put in for the club, is that Arsenal don’t have the respect in the EPL that Man United, Chelsea and even lowly Liverpool have. Is that tied into the lack of trophies, I don’t know maybe? But for me Arsenal don’t really need that. I continue to respect Wenger’s philosophy and approach, there’s an Arsenal way and theres the way the rest of the teams go about their business. There’s something honest and noble in the way Wenger/Arsenal approach football. That for me is worth more than an EPL title and FA Cup.

It’s really a sad news for arsenal,but I’ve see news like this for several years.I’ve take attention in Barkley for tens years,in recent years arsenal do ont have ambition and this fact can be distinguished in arsenal’s transfer polity.
IS this my illusion?This years arsenal’s goal is just to go to the next season’s champion league,not the Barkley champion,Wenger do not take attention in defense,and he never buy a star over 15M.
Arsenal has too many players that have good talent but do not have good character,they have no loyalty.

I haven’t really come across any policy that says you cant have an opinion if you’ve been a fan for only 5 years. Also, I think it’s not the years but passion that counts. Everyone has a right to state their opinion. If you have a different perspective I’d be glad to read your article. Do post a link :)

True. That is why in my article I also question us the fans and the board, and Wenger.
I think we cannot fully blame the players only, but some players should take the initiative and stay is what I believe.

He has phrased his statement so that the final year is untenable. its as close to a transfer request as you can get with out losing your “loyalty” Bonus,

No RVP .you can’t use the Henry leaving template where u get to love us and leave us and keep our love so that you can come back for an occassional bootie call.

honestly piss off and grab your cash and your silverware.. i hope wenger makes you put in a transfer request or that you are forced to see out your contract
