@Peter Cheers for your comment! There was no change in ownership, only a minor change in managing director which happened before O’Leary’s final game (5-1 defeat to Al Jazira).

Love the knowledge shown for football at all levels be it home based, underage or lower level english leagues. Thouroughlly researched with lots of insight into the potential of the younger generation and the psyche required to be successful in the post of Irish manager.

Only thing that jumped out at me was the omission of Leon Best as a potential replacement for Keane when he retires. Had a great run in the Newcastle side after the departure of Andy Carroll until he picked up an injury which ended his season. 6 goals in 10 starts for Newcastle speaks for itself. Although he hasnt opened his international account yet, he has not been given a proper run out.

in fairness to O’Leary he lost his latest position because of change of ownership; his time at AV was always numbered ala Hughton at NUFC and as he says himself he never wrote the cheques at Leeds….

that said I wrote to DO’L before he retired at Arsenal – he never wrote back.
